Vrobot

Review

Isn’t it always good news when you wake up in the morning?  Some days, it’s the only good news you get. Let’s say you wake up late . . . you rush out the door wearing pants from one suit and a jacket from another and you haven’t even noticed. You decide to buy a take-away coffee to rouse your senses further but for some inexplicable reason, the lid isn’t firmly attached and you spill your coffee all over your suit!  And to make matters worse, it happens in the subway with everybody wathcing!  After all of that, you get hammered by your boss for being late! These are the days you wish you were a giant robot able to squash anything you get your hands on. Well, today was one of those days, and your reward is to let it all go with VRobot, The Giant Robot Destruction Simulator!

VRobot: VR Giant Robot Destruction Simulator is action/ simulation game where you take control of a giant robot and unleash destruction onto cities.

At the time of writing this review, the game is on early access and has fifteen levels to discover.

Your goal is to inflict as much carnage as possible on a city within a certain time limit. In some stages, you will do this with your bare hands, and on others you’ll have additional weapons, such as a hammer, a sword, and even the ability to create tornados!  In terms of time, it will vary between thirty seconds to two minutes. The trick to maximising your score is to look for the buildings which are flashing blue and green. The green ones will lead to an explosion which will eradicate all surrounding buildings and give you additional points, while the blue ones will just give you more points.  You’ll have to search the city for them using your teleporting ability with your left handset – it’s fun. You can pick up and throw anything in this game: planes, boats, trees, containers, buildings and whatever you can get your giant hands on.

When the clock hits zero, a door will appear in the middle of the city to let you exit the stage.

Graphically, the game looks good. There is no soundtrack and I would like to hear more sound effects.
