Review

I don’t know about you, but when I was at school, many moons ago, twice a week we used to have an hour’s course of biology. The only aspect that I liked about it was looking at micro-organisms through the telescope (oops… microscope) and no, it was not one of my favourite subjects!

Tricone Lab is an excellent puzzle game where logic is your best friend! If it is not, do not despair, as every family has someone who either is, or pretends to be, logical . . . bring him/her in front of the computer and figure it out together.

At the start, the levels are pretty easy and will help you to understand how this game works. However, as you progress through the game more components will be added and you will be in for intermittent brain shockwaves in order to resolve a puzzle.

You will be presented with a cell; this cell can have multiple walls within it creating smaller cells. What you have to do is attach the 3 colour cones to the catalyst to create the Tricone substance in order to clear each level. Sometimes there will be several Tricone to create.  

By combining a breaker template and a mobility component, you will be able create a breaker. With this breaker you can break a wall of a cell to try to free one or more colour cones. Remember, you have to attach 3 different colour cones to your catalyst to create a Tricone, but things will become tricky when the anti-catalyst comes into the mix…. Fun…Think… Shockwave…Think…Fun…EUREKA!

This game features 100 levels and you able to skip a level if you find it too hard to complete. Use the undo feature to step back to any of your previous moves. Sometimes going backwards really opens your eyes!

One thing I really like is that you can create your own level and share it with everybody!
