Time Trap - Hidden Objects

Review

The Journalist John Doe has vanished unexpectedly. Would it be because he uncovered a distressing story and published his findings a few years ago? Don’t you remember, that experiment at the scientific centre that went sideways? The entire complex and it proximities (miles after miles) were put in quarantine. Deep in your stomach, you know he went back to investigate once more! Are you willing to follow his steps? Is it a Time Trap?

Time Trap is an adventure / Hidden Objects game where you retrace the steps of the journalist, John Doe.

This game has over fifty hidden objects and puzzles (recreate a picture) to go through. I did enjoy the fact that some of the objects are well-blended within pictures and can be easily missed. The story itself is very thin and as a player, you don’t have the ability to choose a path like other games of the same genre will enable you to.  In this game, you’ll be led towards it. The ability to zoom in and out is nice and can be helpful to spot objects. However, I am not a fan of having to move up and down the screen in order to find objects - it can be frustrating at times.

In terms of the gameplay, you’ll have a certain time limit within which to clear a stage. If you manage to clear a stage super-fast, you’ll be rewarded with three stars for that level and will receive a great numbers of points. If you find objects within a certain time limit (we are talking seconds here), points will multiply very quickly, which will give you a chance to show your name in the leader board section. So make sure to spot all the objects before you start your round.

Graphically, the game looks good and it is easy to play.

Positives

+ Nice Graphics
+ Stacks of levels
+ Achievements

Negatives

- No trading cards
- Thin story line
- Some mechanisms could have been better

Review Summary

Plenty of hidden object levels in Time Trap.
