This is an unusual story for you! It’s about a bear that was forced to eat dumpster food (berk . . . berk) because his original forest habitat was destroyed by an evil corporation. Under his fluffy brown fur grows a burning fire of rage! Oh, this is an angry big bear we have here, and he is thirsty for revenge. Take on the evil corporation in Epic Dumpster Bear: Dumpster Fire Redux!

Epic Dumpster Bear: Dumpster Fire Redux is a challenging platformer game where you control a bear through seven worlds (the last world is a bonus for defeating the evil corporation).

Each of the worlds has six or seven main levels to play, with an additional three levels which you can purchase if you have enough coins, as well as two hidden levels.

The goal in each of the levels is to reach a target sign laid on the floor at the end of the stage and try to land the bear in the middle of the bull’s eye to receive maximum points, which in this case is one hundred. Within each of the levels, you can collect gold and red coins. The gold coins are the easiest of the two to collect as they are usually placed within your run, although some are a bit tricky. The red coins, on the other hand, are very challenging to collect. There are only three of them per level and let me tell you, you’re going to sweat to get them! The good news is that they don’t have any influences to unlock levels. If you manage to gather all of them, well, you are a special bear!

It will take you quite of while to master this game. Personally, I would rank Epic Dumpster Bear in the highest tier in terms of difficulty; expect to die frequently. As you move through the levels, you’ll have to deal with a combination of obstacles. Cows, lions, space slugs and other futuristic creatures will usually come at you on the lower main platforms, while birds drop their left-overs on your pretty bear head, and drones shoot at you with some sort of big yellow projectiles. And that’s not all . . . bees and owls will fly in vertical sequences while cannon balls and missiles are introduced! Crocodiles in barrels, snakes in bags and others interesting obstacles will hinder your progress – I’ll let you discover them all!

Only an epic bear will be able to reach the end of each world and then confront the main bosses. Even if the difficulty is high, there is a little bit of relief in each of the levels. As soon as you reached a closed dumpster (usually in the middle of each level), the game will automatically save and if you die soon after, you’ll restart from the dumpster saving point, along with all the coins you amalgamated on the first part of the level.  Your bear will also have a couple of abilities to help him within some stages. At the start of some of the levels, your bear will be able to headbutt a disk with an exclamation mark on it. This disk will either give your mighty bear a rotten salmon head and a bad case of flatulence which will give him the ability to double jump, or an army helmet which will give him the ability to throw grenades on a few obstacles and on enemies. Bear in mind (lol) that some obstacles can’t be destroyed, such as the spike balls, cannons, snakes in bags and plenty more. Ultimately, to successfully reach the target, you will need a combination of speed and sequences (hit the jump at the right moment).  

The graphics are not the greatest here and probably the weakest point but on the other hand, the soundtrack is pretty good. I must say that despite having average graphics the game is addictive and challenging. In terms of controls, the best way to play this game is with a gamepad.
