CUBELINK

Review

Do you remember the days of the Magic Cube? For me it was about thirty years ago when it was at its most popular. I was mesmerized by it and spent endless hours trying to figure it out. I think my brain cells were not connected properly at this stage. Now I have a chance to redeem myself with this new game called CUBELINK!

CUBELINK is a casual / puzzle game where you have to connect colour tiles on cubes.

The first few levels are basically simple and easy tutorials. It will show the player how to connect the colour tiles and how to rotate the cubes. Levels will become progressively harder as the cube becomes bigger, in regards to how many tiles are on each side of the cube, and how many colours need to be connected. To give you a bit of an idea, it can become quite challenging when each side of a cube as twenty tiles or more and seven or more colours to connect with their own path, without crossing over each other, as fast as you can . To make things even easier, some of the tiles can’t even be utilized! That’s when your head starts to smoke and you wonder if you brain cells are firmly connected. If you are like me, redemption might not come so easily. For my part, I became well acquainted with the reset button.

Another fun thing is that you can lock the colour connection path if you feel confident that it’s the correct one. If it’s not, just unlock them. There are stacks of levels to play and unlock.

Graphically, it’s simply a cube with coloured tiles on a plain, coloured background. The best part of this game is how challenging it will become. In regards to the controls, you’ll be using the mouse, which is very responsive. The price is right.
