Atomorf

Review

You play as Atomorf, a robot who lives in a radioactive underworld and he loves radiation. There are currently twenty levels in which to guide Atomorf. Scattered on these levels you’ll find plutonium, which you’ll be able to collect. However, things aren’t as simple as just collecting it; there are various dangers on each level which will try to stop you from collecting those lovely plutonium fragments. These dangers consist of Spikes, Large Rotating Axes, Spikey Blocks and Dynamite (TNT).

Upon looking at the levels you’ll notice that you’re unable to reach many of the plutonium fragments or bypass dangers. To make your way around each level you will need to rotate the level up to four times, depending on your position and where you’d like to go. Rotating the level will allow you to move or drop down to places you weren’t able to reach before. Once you’ve collected all the plutonium on each level you will then need to reach the exit, which is indicated as a radioactive symbol.

There isn’t really anything in the way of options. Upon loading the game, you will be asked whether to play Full Screen or in Window Mode. You can play the game using either keyboard or gamepad; I used a gamepad and it worked well. Selecting the Escape Button in-game will allow you to check the keyboard and gamepad controls. You can also select any level you’ve already completed to replay them. On the level select screen there are quite a few squares and circles which appear unlocked. I’m not sure if in the future these will become new levels to complete. Currently there are only twenty levels to complete and you can get through these fairly quickly.
