OFFICIAL Q/A TO THE CPT FROGGY & ZEEPOND TEAM THREAD! was created by The_Cpt_FROGGY

Hello Ladies and Gents,

Here is your chance to ask me or the Zeepond team questions. We will answer them as soon as we can as long as they are not:

1 – In a foreign language (must be in English)
2 – In relation to trading games or being added to my Steam friend list (I no longer trade or accept friend requests)
3 – Asking for freebies, we have great giveaways at Zeepond - click here to view our giveaway page
4 - Questions that are too personal (family, income for example)

Please, keep it clean and polite.

We look forward to your questions.

Regards,

THE CPT FROGGY!

*time to revive the forums, yay!*

Do you have a goal for leveling up on Steam?
Is there a level where you're going to stop or are you just going to keep leveling up?
What inspired you into creating ZeePond and THE_CPT_FROGGY Club?

Hi ActuallyImJerome,

Thank you very much for your questions.

I don't have a set level in terms of target at this stage, I am happy to keep leveling up. What I do these days is to buy the cheapest set of cards , badge one set and keep the other four sets for the next Steam sale.

THE CPT FROGGY CLUB was really the start of everything. I wanted to find out if I could attract people to it, read my reviews (boy I had some shockers when I look back now) and promote games that I like. Then, I started to give away Steamgifts, CS:GO and Dota 2 keys. Two and an half years later (now) THE CPT FROGGY CLUB has 39,000 members as you know.

Zeepond was born (in my small frog brain) around six months after I started THE CPT FROGGY CLUB! At that stage, the club had around 10,000 members and I started to do promotional giveaways for developers and publishers with great success.

So, I started to study the industry and amalgamate what I liked and what I thought was missing. The basis of Zeepond is promotional giveaways (I choose carefully what I give away) and my reviews, but my ultimate goal for Zeepond is to become a central gaming hub for Developers/Publishers (small and large) and of course you, the viewers and gamers!

I am planning to add:

1 - E-shop where you can personalize your own bundles (for Devs and Pubs that have gave away games on Zeepond)
2 - Interviews with Developers
3 - Developing a News section
4 - Possibly game servers
5 - Hardware giveaways and reviews
6 - You tube channel
7 - Couple of hours a week to talk to the Zeepond team

and more.

They are big plans and to be honest with you, it is a lot of work and quite overwhelming, but I am very excited! I am still working full time outside of Zeepond, but my plan is to be working full time on Zeepond as soon as I possibly can.

What are your thought on the points above - I would love to have your feedback?

I hope this has answered your question matey.

Regards, THE CPT FROGGY

Thanks a lot for the very detailed answer Froggy. I really appreciate it. :)

As you are asking for feedback on your plans for the future on Zeepond/TCFC, here's my opinion about it.

1. I would love to see Zeepond grow into a shop website like Indiegala or Humble Bundle. If this actually happened, I would possibly purchase a couple games onto the website (if the prices for games are good, of course).

2. Interviews with devs would be amazing. If you interview devs, on let's say how they succeeded into developing games, it will possibly give the people who want to possibly become devs in the future, (like me, at a certain extent) motivation to follow their dreams. While reading these interviews, they will want to develop their games more and there will possibly be a lot more amazing games by indie developers on Steam.

3. I am not too sure what you mean by "News section", but I'm guessing you mean upcoming games, updates on Steam, etc.
This honestly would be a good idea. People would come on Zeepond for other reasons than to go on the forums and the giveaways and the website would possibly gain a lot of traffic. And from an average Zeepond user's point of view, it would be quite cool to see news sections in the website. I would, for sure, check the news section often!

4. Game servers would be a great idea. Depending on what game the servers would be on, I would probably play on them, and I'm pretty sure a lot other people would too.

5. Now, this is the point I absolutely love.
Being a huge PC nerd and hardware fanboy, I would absolutely love to see hardware reviews and giveaways. I actually check out YouTube channels like LinusTechTips or HardwareCanucks for hardware reviews, but if I saw hardware reviews by The_CPT_Froggy and the Zeepond team, I would read all of them and participate into every single hardware giveaways. Great idea, Froggy!

6. Again, depending on the content that will be posted on the channel, I will most likely watch you guys videos.

7. I personally don't think this is necessary. It is currently pretty easy to contact the Zeepond team, and I don't think having hours on a week to talk to them will really have an impact. It will probably just bring too much traffic and people begging for you to get added on their steam friendlist. Because of your place in the steam community, and the current way of getting to contact Zeepond staff, I think you should keep it like that. It is the best option for both the members and you (members who have legitimate questions will most likely be having a hard time contacting you and you will be most likely spammed by beggars/high level friend collectors/bots.)

Please keep in mind that this is just my opinion, and opinions vary from people to people.

Thanks again for your very detailed answer, mate. I really appreciate it. Hopefully you find this feedback useful!

(also, I'm sorry if I'm hard to understand, english is not my native language. if you need any explanations about my post, please feel free to ask. :))
