Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) today announced new sales milestone for PlayStation®4 (PS4™).
o PS4 has now cumulatively sold through more than 91.6 million units*1 globally as of December 31, 2018.
o Within the above number, PS4 has sold through more than 5.6 million units*2 globally during the 2018 holiday season*3.

Moreover:
o More than 50.7 million*4 PS4 games were sold through globally during the 2018 holiday season, which sums up to 876 million*5 PS4 games cumulatively sold through worldwide as of December 31, 2018.
o Marvel’s Spider-Man, launched in September 2018, has cumulatively sold through more than 9 million copies*6 worldwide as of November 25, 2018.

We are also happy to announce that the monthly active users of PlayStation Network continues to show strong growth, and has surpassed 90 million as of end of November 2018,” said John Kodera, President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment. “I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our passionate community around the globe, and our partners, for helping us achieve these milestones. Sony Interactive Entertainment is thrilled to announce that in partnership with Insomniac Games, Marvel and Sony Pictures Entertainment, two brand-new and free suits from Spider-Man: Far From Home are now available to download for Marvel’s Spider-Man, as part of a new update for the game.

The new update brings two new suits for players to unlock and enjoy; the Spider-Man: Far From Home Upgraded Suit, and the Spider-Man: Far From Home Stealth Suit, both which are available now.

Insominac Games took to the PlayStation Blog to share their excitement and more detail around how players can unlock the suit:
“While we’re busy working away here at Insomniac Games, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to once again team up with Sony Interactive Entertainment, Marvel, and Sony Pictures Entertainment to celebrate the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home in theatres now! As such, we have released a new update for the game via Patch 1.16 that will bring two free brand-new suits from Spider-Man: Far From Home to the game.

After you have built the Advanced Suit early in Marvel’s Spider-Man, you are able to switch between suits during the story -- so if you have already reached this stage in-game, you can use the Spider-Man: Far from Home Upgraded Suit, or the Spider-Man: Far From Home Stealth Suit.”
