For awhile now we've noticed people are opening mass multiple tabs here on Zeepond, sometimes as many as 70 tabs within a very short period of time open when entering giveaways.

We don't want bots on the site doing this nor will we stand for it. I know some of you are probably saying well, I open them with a mouse button or I open them all before entering the giveaways.

So to make sure we don't ban anyone that isn't using a bot, the maximum number of tabs which can be opened at once is now fourteen (14). Anyone found opening more than this will be removed from Zeepond.

Opening so many tabs at once can slow the site down. Even after these people have closed Zeepond down, they still remain for a considerable time after they've actually left the site.

We appreciate our members and the last thing we want to do is to ban anyone.

Truthfully who needs 14 tabs for one site. I feel that is still a bit generous. I can see maybe opening one or two in advance for entering a drawing. That being said, that should be a more than generous amount of tabs for any user on site. Fail to hold to the standard and yeah Hammer Time! lol

Oops, just saw this. I often use Linkclump to open many tabs at once, I will try to keep myself to 12-14 at a time in the future.

My apologies if replying to an old thread is frowned upon, but I just stumbled across this post - I'd somehow missed it, which I know, in itself, is not an excuse! Still, I'll reply anyway, in the hope that maybe it'll help someone else to see it, and for them to perhaps learn from the error of my ways.

I'm guilty of this - when doing my nightly giveaway entering thing (it's a ritual now!), I middle-click to open giveaway pages in new tabs - not counting them, just merrily opening a good bunch, but I'd guess certainly more than 14 at times - then visit each of those tabs and enter each giveaway, one by one, then middle click the whole lot of tabs again to close them afterwards. Rinse and repeat until my entries are done - and I feel terribly guilty that I hadn't considered the load on the site that this might cause. I simply hadn't seen this post, and hadn't considered the implications - so of course, my sincere apologies for this! A warm flush of embarrassment came over me as I realised this post could indeed be directly referencing me.

ZeePond has been very kind to me, and I am very grateful for the generosity - I certainly wouldn't want to be of any hassle, or to have my flagrant middle-clicking and bulk tab opening seen as disrepect for the policies of the site. Again, I'm very sorry, and you have my word that my mass page opening days are done!
