Gleam issues? was created by Swifty

Hiyas Zeepond support/mods,

I entered the giveaways on gleam but have recently noticed that when I come back and check for new giveaways on subsequent days, that my previous entries seem to not have registered. At first I thought that perhaps I'd made a mistake and not actually completed the entries but I've now confirmed that the gleam app registered the entry, However, I came back today and noticed that those entries had been removed again. I thought it might be an issue with gleam so I tried logging out and back in to the account but it seems to still be happening. Any help you might be able to provide might be helpful.

Thanks!

Hi Swifty,

Thank you very much for your post.

Well, in the last 4 weeks Gleam Io have tightened their security system/protocol. In fact, I actually contacted Gleam Io myself because some of our guest giveaways entries were reduced by half and I also thought it was a glitch. In fact, this update was applied to all their customers.

As you might be aware, Gleam Io notify us if your entries might be Invalid/fraudulent behaviour detected. For example, Gleam has an email filter. So, if you enter a giveaway with an invalid email, it will show.

In the last four weeks, they have added many more features which implies that people might do something wrong. And let me tell you, they are very cool.

Using a script, proxy servers have been reported as spamming to mention a couple. And, other features show that people try to get more than 20 bites at the cherry and I totally agree with it.

People who are doing nothing wrong, well nothing will change for them. For the others, you are doing something that is considered invalid/fraudulent behaviour detected.

Invalid/fraudulent behaviour detected entries will now be deleted! It is fair for everyone.

I included a screenshot of someone with Invalid/fraudulent behaviour entries.

Cheers,

Well, considering my entries seem to be getting invalidated; I'd like to figure out why the system would be flagging them as invalid/fraudulent. I'm pretty sure my email isn't invalid since I receive emails on it daily. Is there any way you could look at my entries in the giveaway and see if that is the case and why they're being flagged?

Thanks again for your help.

Hi Swifty,

As I mentioned in my reply, email is one thing amongst others. Unfortunately, I don't have the specifics as to why the system is flagging your entries. Something is definitely being picked up.

Well, if you are using a script or a VPN, it might be a good idea to stop using them. If you are doing something dodgy and please I am not implying that you do but if that is the case, It may be a good idea to stop that too.

I guess it will be a process of elimination for you and I hope you'll figure it out, so you can still enter our guest giveaways.

Good luck mate.

Welp, I do not use a VPN or proxy servers on my PC (the only place I enter giveaways from), so that wouldn't be it. As far as scripts go, although I know what a script is (in the world of computer programming), I didn't know there was such a thing for giveaways. I wish I was doing something 'dodgy' so I'd be able to pinpoint what the underlying cause is, but other than entering giveaways on a daily basis. I complete every single action of every giveaway by clicking on the requested action and doing it or verifying it's been completed (in the case of following social accounts or joining groups). On rare occasions, I get those "Are you a robot" prompts but I validate those without issue because I'm not a robot.

It's not like automated computer systems can make mistakes, right? All technology is completely infallible and incapable of making errors. It is unfortunate that gleam is unable to give you (the giveaway creator) more information as to what the underlying reason for disqualification is.
